5 weeks, week by week

01

Week 1 · ISO/IEC 42001 and getting an AIMS started – how the standard is built, the regulatory context, roles, the project mandate.

02

Week 2 · Planning the implementation – organisational context, scope, AI risks, the statement of applicability.

03

Week 3 · Implementing the AIMS – selecting controls, documented information, communication, running AI operations.

04

Week 4 · Monitoring and improvement – measurement, internal audit, management review, handling nonconformities.

05

Week 5 · Final project and exam readiness – presenting your implementation plan, revision, practice tests, exam questions and answers.

Is this programme right for you?

Who this is for

This is a good fit for AI project managers, members of an AIMS implementation team, IT and quality managers, consultants, technically minded specialists, and managers who answer for how AI is used, what it risks and whether it meets requirements.

Who this is not for

This is not the right fit if you are looking for in-depth training in programming, model training or data science, if what you actually need is the independent auditor's skill set (that is the separate Lead Auditor track), if you cannot work with English-language materials and tests, or if you expect completing the course to hand you the PECB Lead Implementer credential automatically.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the Lead Auditor track?

This track teaches you to build and run an AI management system inside an organisation. Lead Auditor teaches you to audit one independently. If your work is closer to assessing conformity than to implementing it, see the Lead Auditor track.

What language is the programme taught in?

Materials and the exam are in English; at least an intermediate level of English is needed.

How much time per week does this take?

90 academic hours across 5 weeks in total: two mentor web meetings a week, group work on Wednesdays, and independent work at your own pace.

Does EVK issue the PECB credential?

No. Preparation + PECB credential after the certification body's own requirements – Ettevõtluskeskus provides the preparation, PECB issues its own credential once you meet its own requirements, which include a passed exam and verified professional experience.

Do I need a technical background?

It is not a mandatory prerequisite. A working understanding of how your organisation uses AI helps, and the standard's own logic is taught from the ground up.

What do I need to take part?

A computer, a webcam, a stable internet connection, headphones with a microphone, and a quiet space for the live sessions.

How does mentoring work?

Mentor-led group sessions twice a week and practical exercises; 1:1 mentoring is available if needed.

How much does it cost?

The price is confirmed on request – contact us. State support is available to eligible learners – ask us.

The road to the PECB credential – kept in clearly separate layers

PECB ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer scheme

The programme follows PECB's own ISO/IEC 42001 implementation curriculum and official training materials; the scheme belongs to PECB, not Ettevõtluskeskus.

3 · Exam

PECB certification exam

The exam is included in your course, however it is administered by PECB, and you register for it yourself.

4 · PECB · your step

PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer
